PWMC Novant Health Facade Removal

PCS, Inc. was contracted by Brasfield & Gorrie to perform interior and exterior demolition services to the Novant Health building on the PWHM campus. The exterior façade demolition work consisted of removing the front entrance canopy, including the footers, concrete foundation, main entrance glass exterior walls, surrounding steel stairs, and concrete landings associated with the building. Inside, crews demolished patient rooms as well as conference room walls, floors, ceilings, and façade.

BSU Leonidas S. James Gym Phase II

PCS, Inc. was contracted to provide selective demolition and asbestos abatement services during phase two of the renovations to Leonidas S. James Gym at BSU. Interior demolition crews removed and disposed of ceilings, drywall, carpet, light fixtures, and mechanical ductwork. Remediation crews performed asbestos abatement of existing 2x4 ceiling tiles and properly removed them from the facility.

Greenfield Senior Center Renovation

PCS was contracted by Scott Long Construction to provide selective demolition and asbestos abatement services throughout the senior center. Demolition crews performed a partial interior gut of the 1st and 2nd floors and a complete interior build-out on the 5th, 6th and 7th floors, demolishing over 57,000 SF of materials. Materials removed included ceiling, drywall, plumbing & light fixtures, doors, frames, windows, and mechanical piping/ductwork. PCS utilized our DXR demolition robot to remove larger items and increase productivity. Abatement crews removed asbestos-containing materials and lead-lined walls throughout the building as well.

SERC Mansion Ruins Stabilization

PCS, Inc. was contracted by CMF Engineering, Inc. to provide selective demolition services to the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center brick mansion ruins located on the 575-acre historic property of Contee Farm. PCS demolition crews removed tree stumps, roots, rubble and soil around the ruins and salvaged all brick onsite. Crews excavated soil down to the basement levels in two areas of the mansion, all by hand. To avoid affecting the structural integrity, PCS was not able to use any heavy machinery onsite.

St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Interior Renovations

PCS, Inc. was contracted by Facility Support Services, LLC to provide selective demolition and saw cutting services at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital - West Campus for the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters project in Washington, D.C. During this large new construction and renovation project, PCS demolition crews removed interior walls, ceilings, doors, mechanical ductwork, concrete stair cases, and saw cutting of 2’ thick concrete slabs and concrete walls. GPR services were provided to facilitate saw cutting and core drilling, which PCS also performed.
