PCS was brought in to prepare the Milton Hershey School (MHS) Family Center for its next chapter, completing a full selective demolition to get the space ready for renovation.
Led by Project Manager Roger Schremph and Supervisor Derec Sauve, our team took on a wide range of work—from a full interior gut of plaster and wire mesh walls to the removal of doors, windows, ceilings, and a wood catwalk in the attic. The scope also included HVAC removal, masonry openings, exterior porch and carport demolition, and crane-assisted roof removal.
Flooring was removed throughout the building, followed by grinding of mastic and epoxy to properly prep the surfaces—handled by Eliezer Rodriguez and Luis Rivera Roman. Saw cutting of porch footings was completed by Jarryd Shindledecker, Jared Upperman, Hunter Moore, and Zach Weary, supporting the safe removal of exterior structures.
Projects like this come down to coordination and teamwork—multiple scopes, different crews, all moving in sync to get the job done right and leave the space ready for what’s next.
Great work by everyone involved.
