Job Summary

Power Component System, Inc. is the leading provider of specialized environmental construction services throughout the MidAtlantic Region . Currently perform work in federal, industrial, commercial. institutional, transportation and healthcare facilities throughout MD, DC, VA, DE.  As a leader in specialized construction services we are looking for reliable and dependable workers who are able to work any shift as needed. We provide a wide range of services that include interior/exterior demolition, asbestos abatement, lead-based paint treatment, mold remediation, water & fire damage restoration, core drilling, concrete cutting, and a variety of other flooring and surface preparation services. 

We have an immediate need for Demolition Laborers in both our Hanover, MD location and Camp Hill, PA location.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform heavy lifting
  • Able to work a 10-hour shift on your feet, as required
  • Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
  • Able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures indoors & outdoors
  • Agree to abide by and participate in all PCS Safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
  • Able to work out of town in MD, DC, and VA, as required
  • Able to follow directions
  • Must have hand tools to perform daily functions
  • Must be trained in safety of construction job hazards (OSHA 10 hour?)
  • Must be trained to operate any powered equipment
  • Responsible for signing self in and out on time sheets & safety training sheets DAILY!
  • Able to work out of town if required

Additional Responsibilities for Supervisor role:

  • Responsible for daily/weekly paperwork (payroll, labor projections, 4-week look aheads, etc.)
  • Responsible for immediate communication with management regarding job site incidents (injuries, safety issues, OSHA issues, job site damages, auto incidents etc.)

 

Requirements:

  • Must have current driver’s license and social security card
  • Must maintain clean driving record to operate company vehicles
  • Must have current resident alien card if not a US citizen
  • Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written
  • Must have current physical
  • Must have real ID or a valid passport
  • Must have current asbestos certification (optional – only required if hired as an asbestos laborer)
