PCS was excited to finally start the 3/4 inch plated steel tank removal project at the WellSpan York Hospital with James Craft & Son. The design, bidding & planning for this project has been ongoing for almost 3 years. An abandoned hot water steam tank that was approximately 6 FT high by 30 FT wide was on the top floor mechanical room of the hospital. Chris Maurer & Kevin Carattini lead their crews in making this removal possible. Their crews had saw cut the tank into manageable sections to be lowered down 6 stories to the ground by a 115 Ton crane for proper disposal/ recycling.
