Early Year Recap

What We’ve Accomplished Together

As we endured up one of the coldest and most challenging winter seasons in recent years, PCS crews continued to do what they do best — show up early, work safely, and get the job done right. Freezing mornings, icy roads, and long days didn’t slow down the commitment our teams bring to every project. Here’s a look at what the last 3 months have looked like across our jobsites, offices, and crews.

Congratulations!

Matthew Barclay
15 Year-Milestone

Over the years, PCS has grown and taken on new challenges across the region—but it’s the people who have remained consistent that shape our story. Matt Barclay is one of them.

This past January, Matt celebrated 15 years with our Maryland team. As a supervisor, he’s known for his steady leadership, reliability, and quiet work ethic. A man of few words, Matt lets his work speak for itself—consistently getting the job done right and making a lasting impact on every project and crew.

Matt, thank you for your continued commitment to PCS. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to the years ahead.

A Career Built Day by Day: Geno Green’s Journey

Geno Green didn’t set out to build a career in demolition. In 2005, he was simply riding through Harrisburg with his brother when they passed a PCS sign. His brother told him to apply—and the next day, he did, without even knowing what the company did.

He started in the warehouse, learning the basics, helping wherever needed, and building relationships along the way. Over time, those relationships became his greatest strength. As Warehouse Manager, he worked closely with vendors and crews, earning trust that eventually led him into his current role as Project Coordinator.

Today, Geno plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. Known for his early mornings, strong work ethic, and constant communication with the field, he’s always one step ahead—often starting his week on Sundays to prepare.

What truly sets Geno apart is his energy. His positive, contagious attitude makes an impact on everyone around him, whether he’s solving problems or simply checking in with the team.

From day one to now, Geno’s approach has stayed the same: show up, stay focused, and give it everything you’ve got. His story is a reminder that success doesn’t come from having it all figured out—it comes from putting in the work every single day.

Geno, thank you for your commitment and the example you set.

Project Spotlight

Milton Hershey School Family Center

Selective Demo

PCS was brought in to prepare the Milton Hershey School (MHS) Family Center for its next chapter, completing a full selective demolition to get the space ready for renovation.
Led by Project Manager Roger Schremph and Supervisor Derec Sauve, our team took on a wide range of work—from a full interior gut of plaster and wire mesh walls to the removal of doors, windows, ceilings, and a wood catwalk in the attic. The scope also included HVAC removal, masonry openings, exterior porch and carport demolition, and crane-assisted roof removal.
Flooring was removed throughout the building, followed by grinding of mastic and epoxy to properly prep the surfaces—handled by Eliezer Rodriguez and Luis Rivera Roman. Saw cutting of porch footings was completed by Jarryd Shindledecker, Jared Upperman, Hunter Moore, and Zach Weary, supporting the safe removal of exterior structures.
Projects like this come down to coordination and teamwork—multiple scopes, different crews, all moving in sync to get the job done right and leave the space ready for what’s next.
Great work by everyone involved.

Anderson Logistics | Steel Mezzanine Removal

PCS recently completed a selective demolition project at the Anderson Logistics facility in Carlisle, PA, involving the removal and deconstruction of a steel mezzanine.
The work was led by Project Manager Jason Killian and Supervisor Ray Von Neida, with the field team completing the scope safely and efficiently.
Following the completion of the project, an idea from Cameron Matz (PA Project Services) added a new dimension to the effort. Recognizing the potential use of the structure, he proposed relocating and rebuilding the mezzanine at our Pennsylvania warehouse to create additional storage space.
The reassembly was carried out by Supervisor Jeff Bavis, alongside Mike Morose and Jeffery Mumma. Brian Wak also played a key role in this phase, contributing significant time and effort, as well as utilizing his personal truck and 36-foot trailer to transport materials from the jobsite to our PA facility.
This project reflects a practical, forward-thinking approach—looking beyond the initial scope to identify opportunities for reuse and give existing materials a second purpose.
Great work by everyone involved in taking this project from completion to continued use.

AutoZone Salisbury
Selective Demolition & Floor Preparation

Our Maryland crews recently completed a selective demolition project at the AutoZone facility in Salisbury, Maryland, supporting site preparation for upcoming construction activities.
The scope of work included the removal of storefront systems, exterior wall sections, doors, mezzanine structure, canopy, interior finishes, rooftop units, and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. The project required a comprehensive approach to address multiple building elements and materials throughout the space.
As part of the final phase, our team performed diamond grinding to remove existing floor adhesives and achieve a smooth, uniform surface profile suitable for future installation.
This project reflects the type of detailed, multi-scope work our crews execute on a regular basis, requiring coordination, experience, and a strong understanding of selective demolition practices.
We appreciate the efforts of our field team in successfully completing this project.
