The Component Spring 2025

Kate Licameli

President

As we step into another year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for each and every one of you. Our company’s success is built on the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our team, and I have no doubt that 2025 will be another year of growth and achievement.
We are all aware of the challenges surrounding us—whether it’s political division, economic uncertainty, or personal hardships. The world is moving fast, and at times, it can feel overwhelming. However, one thing remains certain: our commitment to forging ahead. No matter what is happening around us, we will continue to work hard, support one another, and push our business forward  with integrity and determination.

Milestone

TOBY LEACH

Three Decades of Dedication, Leadership and Friendship!

This May, we proudly celebrate a remarkable milestone for one of our most dedicated and accomplished team members—Toby Leach! Toby’s journey with our company began 30 years ago, when he first joined us as a college student working in the warehouse during the summers (he was on an endless search for “skyhooks” which he never found). With hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, he has risen through the ranks to become our Vice President of Business Development.

Women In Construction 2025

This March, PCS proudly celebrated Women in Construction Week 2025 with the empowering theme: Together We Rise. More than just words, it’s a call to action—when we lift each other up, we build a stronger, more inclusive industry. Construction is no longer just a male-dominated field. Women are making their mark in every role, from engineering to skilled trades. At PCS, we honor the dedication and expertise of the women on our team, whose contributions drive our success and inspire future generations. To the women in construction—thank you for your resilience. And to those considering it—take the leap! This industry offers endless opportunities for growth and impact.
As part of our celebration, we interviewed incredible women from our three divisions. Read on to hear their stories and be inspired!

Project Spotlight

LBH Northwest Hospital

Selective Demo

Our team recently wrapped up a major selective demolition at the LBH Northwest Hospital Emergency Department. This job called for the careful removal of both interior and exterior elements to make way for new construction—ranging from walls and ceilings to mechanical components and structural assemblies.
In addition to the demolition scope, our crew executed diamond grinding to clear old adhesives and deliver a CSP #2 surface profile, as well as saw cutting over 2,100 square feet of slab on grade per the structural plans. As always, precision, safety, and coordination were key.
Special thanks to Project Manager Kelly Goodwin and site supervisors Eric Lainez and Dion Montgomery for leading the charge. And a huge shoutout to Tim O’Neill for capturing the process with such fantastic photos. Great work everyone!

Brandon Shores

Foundation Repair

This past March we successfully completed the Brandon Shores Foundation Repair project in Baltimore, Maryland. This was a demanding and labor-intensive job, and our Maryland team demonstrated outstanding professionalism throughout the entire process. Our team was tasked with sawcutting and removing the top 2 feet of an existing 12’x14’ concrete foundation. This required precise cutting through both concrete and steel reinforcement, utilizing specialized saws to ensure accuracy and safety. Once the cutting was complete, a 10-ton crane was used to lift and remove the heavy concrete sections for disposal. Huge shoutout to Matt Barclay for his outstanding work on this project—his dedication and expertise were instrumental in bringing it to the finish line. The site photos speak for themselves, showcasing the level of precision and grit this job demanded. Incredible job, Matt, and hats off to the entire team for pushing through a tough challenge and delivering impressive results. And a special thank you to Jennifer Cordon for her exceptional contributions—truly a team effort all around!
