We had a wonderful experience yesterday volunteering at the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s House in Baltimore. Our team members learned so much about this great organization and helping them was an honor and a pleasure! We are very much looking forward to returning in a few weeks. We learned how heavily they rely on volunteers – they rely on us to help them with helping the families that they serve who have sick children at Johns Hopkins and they rely on volunteers for donations from their wish list. With this in mind, we are extending the supply drive until 10/29. Our next group of volunteers goes to the home on Wednesday, October 30 so we are hopeful that they can take another batch of much needed supplies when they go.
The Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins is the cornerstone of Believe In Tomorrow’s hospital housing program, providing overnight accommodations to families of children receiving treatment at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, MD. Accommodating up to 15 families a night, the facility provides an average of 2,000 overnight stays each month to families from every state in the U.S. and over 82 countries worldwide. Its doors are located just two blocks from the hospital’s main entrance and serves as a national model for pediatric hospital housing.
