PCS had the honor of attending the Rededication Ceremony of the USS Maine Memorial at Arlington Cemetery earlier this week. The wreath-laying ceremony was co-hosted by Arlington National Cemetery and the Naval District Washington to rededicate the historic 102-year-old USS Maine Memorial after a decade-long restoration project to bring the memorial back to its original state. Last year, we were contracted by Anderson Burton to provide lead-based paint and asbestos abatement services to the memorial over a 2-month span. The memorial’s exterior paint had been damaged by decades of sun, rain and inclement weather.
It was a pleasure to be a part of the restoration of this historic memorial and we are so thankful we were invited to attend the Rededication Ceremony. It is projects like this that makes us so proud of what we do!
